Argo Yuwono: TNI-Polri Datang Untuk Mensejahterakan Rakyat Papua
JURNALJATENG.ID, JAKARTA – Kepala Divisi Hubungan Masyarakat (Kadiv Humas) Polri, Irjen Pol. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono meminta masyarakat untuk tidak terintervensi oleh kelompok-kelompok yang tidak setuju dengan kedatangan TNI-Polri ke Papua.
“Karena TNI-Polri datang untuk mensejahterakan rakyat Papua,” tegas Kadiv Humas Polri dengan didampingi oleh Kapuspen TNI, Mayjen TNI Ahmad Riad, ketika memberikan pernyataan kepada wartawan di Rimba Papua Hotel (RPH), Sabtu (28/11).
Ditegaskan, dalam menangani konflik di Papua, TNI-Polri mengutamakan pendekatan preventif. TNI dan Polri tidak menggunakan pendekatan militer namun lebih pada penegakan hukum
“Jadi pendekatan preventif itu yang paling utama. Preventifnya itu seperti apa? yaitu kita sama-sama lakukan dialog, kita sama-sama komunikasi dan saling menjaga NKRI,” ujar Kadiv Humas Polri.
“Komunikasi antara masyarakat, TNI dan Polri harus terus dibangun dan dijaga. Jika ada hal-hal yang mau disampaikan, silahkan sampaikan ke kami,” lanjutnya.
Diharapkan juga, dengan hadirnya TNI-Polri di Papua termasuk Papua Barat, jangan lagi ada kelompok-kelompok yang membuat tindakan pidana atau membuat masalah yang berlawanan dengan undang-undang.
“Jadi harus ada komunikasi karena dengan komunikasi kita bisa tahu apa maksudnya. Mari kita bergandengan tangan supaya tidak ada salah paham dalam menjaga keutuhan NKRI ini,” harap Kadiv Humas Polri.
