JURNALJATENG.ID, SEMARANG – Ketua DPC AWPI Kota semarang mengungkapakan keprihatinanya atas meninggalnya jurnalis senior lassernewstoday.com yang ditembak orang tak dikenal (OTK).
“Kita harus berani bertindak Jangan sampai kalah dengan oknum-oknum yang mau mengerdilkan jurnalis,” ungkapnya saat ngopi bareng dengan rekan-rekan jurnalis. Semarang (21/6/21).
Lanjutnya, Kejadian yang menimpa rekan jurnalis Marshal Harahap cukup memberikan bukti kalau negara lemah dalam melindungan jurnalis.
“Kita tidak boleh kalah, darah sudah mengalir dari rekan kita yang menjadi pahlawan kebenaran. Polisi harus bertidak tegas dan tangkap oknum yang menjadi dalang pembunuhan. Semoga
Presiden Jokowi merespon cepat insiden yang terjadi di Sumut melalui Kepolisian sebagai jajaran dibawahnya. Begitu juga soal ancaman dan intimidasi oleh kelompok mafia. Saudara kita Marsal Harahap, salah satu wartawan yang kerab memberitakan soal perjudian dan narkoba tewas ditembak orang tak dikenal,” kata ketua DPC AWPI Kota Semarang yang biasa dipanggil Yudiwong.
Masih suasana bergabung, ia juga mengungkapkan rasa duka untuk rekan jurnalis yang tewas ditembak.
Mengapa harus mengadu ke Presiden? Menurut Yudi Wong, persoalan di Sumut ini sudah sangat komplek. Kejadian peristiwa saling terkait, jaringan mafia semakin kuat mencengkram. Hal tersebut hanya bisa diatasi oleh Presiden, melalui Panglima TNI dan Kapolri.
“Dalam sebulan ini, 3 wartawan jadi korban. Sebelumnya rumah Sofyan di Binjai dibakar, rumah Bembi Lubis di Pematang Siantar dibom molotov. Ini semua karena memberitakan judi dan narkoba,” ujarnya.
Yudiwong berharap, Presiden harus benar-benar serius merespon keluhan para wartawan di Sumut dan tidak menutup kemungkinan akan terjadi lagi di daerah-daerah lain. Sebab, profesi wartawan adalah penyambung lidah rakyat. Sebab rakyat tak akan bisa langsung mengadukan nasibnya kepada Presiden jika tidak melalui perantara wartawan.
“Kalau wartawan pun sudah terancam, bagaimana lagi rakyatnya. Karena itu saya berharap Presiden segera respon keluhan kami ini,” harapnya.
Untuk diketahui, Kabar duka untuk wartawan hari ini datang dari Pematang Siantar. Marsal Harahap, tewas bersimbah darah sebelum sempat dilarikan ke rumah sakit. Sebelum tewas, Marsal kerab memberitakan soal perjudian dan narkoba di wilayah Pematang Siantar.
