Dua Pilar Jembatan Belanda Ambles, Bahayakan Pelintas
JURNALJATENG.ID, MADIUN – Pemerintah Kota Madiun, Jawa Timur, menghimbau masyarakat agar sementara tidak melintasi Jembatan Patihan. Dikhawatirkan sewaktu waktu jembatan ambruk, mengingat dua dari enam pilar jembatan yang dibangun Belanda kisaran Tahun 1900 itu saat ini diindikasikan mengalami ambles sedalam 20 senti meter.
Peringatan itu disampaikan Thariq Megah, Kepala Bidang Bina Marga, Dinas Pekerjaan Umum Tata Ruang (DPUTR) Kota Madiun, kepada jurnalis di ruang kerjanya, Kamis (19/ 11). “Terlebih kalau hujan lantas banjir, sangat mungkin dua pilar yang sudah ambles itu akan terbawa arus,” tutur Thariq.
Jembatan itu sendiri, menurut Thariq, menjadi sarana vital bagi penduduk yang terpisahkan Bengawan Madiun yang berada dalam Kecamatan Manguharjo. Wilayah tersebut diantaranya Kelurahan Patihan, Ngegong, Sogaten, Winongo, Wayut, Sidomulyo serta desa dan kelurahan lainnya.
Dijelaskan Thariq, kecuali usia jembatan yang memang sudah tua, rusaknya dua penyangga bagian tengah jembatan itu lantaran seringnya dihajar sampah berupa kayu kayu besar saat terjadi banjir. “Tekanan banjir itu besar sekali. Apalagi ditambah dengan material kayu kayu besar. Tentu akan terjadi kontraksi pada penyangga tersebut,” tambah Thariq.
Untuk menutup total jembatan tersebut, menurut Thariq, pihak pemerintah kota juga sedikit kebingungan. Pasalnya, akses bagi kedua wilayah yang terpisahkan akan memutar puluhan kilometer jika ingin keluar atau masuk Kota Madiun.
Meski demikian pemerintah kota tidak ingin mengambil resiko. Jika dalam keadaan hujan dan banjir, pinta Thariq, kedua mulut jembatan selebar 2,7 meter dengan panjang 130 meter itu agar ditutup total. “Jangan sampai pas banjir, ada warga yang melintas lantas jembatan ambruk,” ungkapnya.
Meski membahayakan, namun terlihat masih banyak warga masyarakat yang melintasi Jembatan tersebut. Baik dengan berjalan kaki, maupun bersepeda motor. “Bisa gak lewat jembatan ini Mas, tapi muter jauh sekali. Pokoknya hati hati dan mudah mudahan selamat, gak ambruk jembatannya,” ujar Anwar, pelintas jembatan.
Merunut sejarah, jembatan monumental itu awalnya dipergunakan Pabrik Gula (PG) Redjo Agoeng sebagai lintasan lori (sepur pengangkut tebu). Karena perkembangan zaman, kisaran tahun 1990 an jembatan itu oleh PG Redjo Agoeng dibiarkan, karena angkutan tebu beralih menggunakan transportasi truk.
Bagio, salah satu staf Humas PG Redjo Agoeng, yang dikonfirmasi jurnalis enggan menjawab panjang lebar dan tuntas. Dikatakan Bagio, jembatan yang ambles tersebut bukan milik PG Redjo Agoeng. “Bukan,” singkat Bagio.
Semenjak dibengkelaikan PG Redjo Agoeng, jembatan tersebut beralih fungsi menjadi akses lalu lintas bagi masyarakat setempat. Melihat pentingnya fungsi jembatan, Pemerintah Kota Madiun mempermudahnya dengan merubah jalur rel lori menjadi jalan beraspal.
“Statusnya pun dibawah kewenangan pembinaan Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai atau BBWS Solo,” timpal Thariq.
Guna perbaikan, lanjut Thariq, pihaknya sudah mengantongi izin dari pihak BBWS maupun PG Redjo Agoeng. Rencananya jembatan lama akan dibongkar total, dan dirubah dari lebar awal 2,7 meter menjadi 8 meter.
Dikatakan Thariq, sedianya tahun ini pembangunan dimulai dengan anggaran pusat senilai Rp. 55 miliar. Namun karena terbentur Covid-19, pelaksanaannya diundur.
