Ambalat Memanas, TNI Kerahkan Kapal Perang Di Perbatasan Malaysia
JURNALJATENG.ID, SEMARANG – Daerah perairan perbatasan Indonesia dengan Malaysia mengalami peningkatan eskalasi. Dua kapal perang dengan kekuatan penuh di kerahkan demi kedaulatan maritim.
Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) Angkatan Laut (AL) memperketat dan keamanan serta memperkuat pertahanan di perbatasan NKRI dengan Malaysia, di Perairan Ambalat, Minggu (18/10/2020).
Ambalat merupakan blok laut luas mencakup 15.235 kilometer persegi yang terletak di Laut Sulawesi atau Selat Makassar dan berada di dekat perpanjangan perbatasan darat antara Sabah, Malaysia, dengan Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia
Dikutib dari Warta Ekonomi, Untuk memperkuat serta memperketat Wilayah Ambalat tak tanggung-tanggung, sebagai unsur kekuatan TNI AL yang tergabung dalam Satuan Tugas Perisai Sakti 2020 di kerahkan.
Disiarkan secara tertulis TNI AL, Sabtu (17 /10/2020), dua kapal perang sekaligus dikerahkan menuju ke Ambalat, yaitu KRI Diponegoro-365 dan KRI Layang-635. Selain itu ditambah, satu tim dari Satuan Komando Pasukan Katak (Kopaska) juga dilibatkan dalam kegiatan itu.
Menurut Komandan Gugus Tempur Laut (Guspurla) Komando Armada II, Laksma TNI Rahmat Eko Raharjo, pasukan tempur gabungan itu melakukan patroli bersama di sekitar mercusuar Ambalat.
“Guspurla Koarmada II selalu berupaya mengamankan dan menjaga wilayah perairan laut Indonesia, terlebih di masa pandemi COVID-19,” kata Laksma Rahmat Eko.
Laksma Rahmat Eko menuturkan, patroli perbatasan itu merupakan perintah langsung dari Panglima Koarmada II, Laksda TNI I N G Sudihartawan.
Dalam perintahnya disebutkan bahwa TNI AL untuk senantiasa menjaga kedaulatan wilayah NKRI dari ancaman pihak asing, serta menjaga keamanan perairan Indonesia dari berbagai tindakan yang melanggar hukum.
