UGM Sabet Juara 1 Kompetisi Skala Nasional PLN ICE 2021
JURNALJATENG.ID, SEMARANG – Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM) sabet juara 1 dalam kompetisi berskala nasional desain mobil PLN Inovation & Competition in Electricity (ICE) 2021 yang di selenggarakan PT PLN (Persero). Penyelenggaraan dilakukan secara daring (Dalam Jaringan/Online) mulai 7 Mei 2021 hingga 24 Juni 2021.
PLN ICE 2021 diikuti oleh 45 tim mahasiswa di seluruh Indonesia dari jenjang D3 hingga S2. Tim Arjuna UGM sukses menyabet juara satu kategori Electric Vehicle Design & Prototype Competition. Mobil listrik yang diberi nama “Daruna” yang merupakan singkatan “Dari Arjuna Untuk Indonesia”
Ketua departemen mekanis Arjuna, Zaky Fadlurrahman menyatakan, bahwa tujuan awal keikutsertaan tim dalam PLN ICE 2021 yaitu sebagai kesempatan untuk menguji dan mengasah kemampuan dan pengetahuan tim dalam aspek teknologi mobil listrik serta sistem pengembangan bisnis yang baik.
“Hasil ini tak lepas dari kerja keras dan dedikasi tim untuk terus berkomitmen melakukan pengembangan dan inovasi riset mobil listrik,” ungkap Zaky.
Zaky menjelaskan, kompetisi ini terdiri dari tiga kategori, yaitu Electric Vehicle Design & Prototype Competition; Electronic & Electric Appliance Design & Prototype Competition; dan Business & Community Development Proposal Competition.
Semula, tim Arjuna UGM merupakan tim mobil listrik yang setiap tahunnya aktif mengikuti kompetisi Formula Society Automotive Engineer (FSAE) Japan yang diselenggarakan di Prefektur Shizuoka.
Sementara, ketua tim Arjuna UGM generasi 9 Inherenta Muhammad Amarutsli mengatakan bahwa tim Arjuna memiliki visi untuk menjadi salah satu tim Formula Student terbaik di Asia Tenggara bahkan dunia sehingga akan terus melakukan kerja-kerja inovatif dan aktif dalam setiap perlombaan berbasis riset.
“Berkat hasil positif dari lomba ini membuat kami semakin memantapkan diri untuk mempersiapkan perlombaan utama kami di FSEV India 2021 dan FSAE Jepang mendatang,” ujar Inherenta.
Untuk diketahui, Tim Arjuna memperoleh sponsor dari PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), PT Sinergi Laksana Bara Mas, PT Bukaka Teknik Utama, PT Justus Kimiaraya, PT Indonesia Steel Tube Works (ISTW), Würth Elektronik.
