Serangan Rudal Armenia Menewaskan 13 Warga Sipil
JURNALJATENG.ID, SEMARANG – Armenia meluncurkan serangan rudal Sabtu dini hari (17/10/2020) waktu setempat.
Serangan di kota terbesar kedua di Azerbaijan, Ganja tersebut menewaskan tiga belas warga sipil. Empat puluh lainnya dalam kantor kejaksaan Azerbaijan mengalami luka-luka.
Kantor kejaksaan mengatakan, sebuah daerah pemukiman di Ganja, diledakkan oleh serangan rudal dan sekitar 20 gedung apartemen telah dihantam.
Kantor kejaksaan mengatakan bahwa Armenia juga menembakkan rudal ke kota Mingechavir tetapi sistem pertahanan udara Azerbaijan menjatuhkannya.
Dikutip dari dailysabah.com, bahwa Ajudan presiden Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev menggambarkan serangan itu “tanpa pandang bulu.”
“Seruan yang tidak bermoral untuk gencatan senjata kemanusiaan harus dilihat sebagai kejahatan perang di pihak Armenia,” katanya.
Dalam serangkaian tweet, Hajiyev mengatakan bahwa Armenia telah melancarkan serangan untuk menyerang “warga sipil di kota-kota Azerbaijan dengan cara yang berbahaya dan kejam” di belakang pengiriman baru-baru ini sistem rudal baru yang telah dibawa ke negara itu.

Ledakan terbaru pertempuran antara pasukan Azerbaijan dan Armenia dimulai pada 27 September, dan menyebabkan ratusan orang tewas, dalam eskalasi terbesar dari konflik yang telah berlangsung selama puluhan tahun di Nagorno-Karabakh, sejak perang separatis di sana berakhir pada tahun 1994.
