Pemerintah Kutuk Keras dan Buru Pelaku Pembantaian Sigi
JURNALJATENG.ID, JAKARTA – Pemerintah melalui Menko Polhukam Mahfud MD mengutuk keras dan mengejar pelaku pembantaian di Sigi, Sulawesi Tengah. Pemerintah juga menyatakan duka yang mendalam kepada para korban dan keluarganya atas kejadian tersebut.
“Pemerintah akan melakukan tindakan tegas dan memburu pelaku melaui Tim atau Satgas Operasi Tinombala terhadap para pelaku kekejian dan kebengisan terhadap suatu kelurga yang menyebabkan terbunuhnya 4 orang di Sigi. Tentu pemerintah mengutuk keras kepada pelakunya dan menyatakan duka yang mendalam kepada korban dan keluarganya,” ujar Menko Polhukam Mahfud MD dalam keterangan persnya, Minggu (29/11).
Menurut Mahfud, pemerintah sesuai perintah presiden telah melakukan langkah-langkah, melakukan pengejaran serta pengepungan terhadap tempat yang dicurigai memiliki keterkaitan dengan para pelaku.
“Pemerintah juga sudah melakukan langkah-langkah untuk melakukan pengejaran, tadi tim Tinombala sudah menyampaikan tahap tahap yang dilakukan untuk mengejar pelaku dan melakukan isolasi serta pengepungan terhadap tempat yang dicurigai ada kaitan dengan para pelaku,” lanjut Mahfud MD.
Adapun pelaku pembantaian tersebut, menurut pemerintah adalah sisa-sia kelompok Santoso atau biasa dikenal Mujahidin Indonesia Timur (MIT).
“Memang pelakunya adalah Mujahidin Indonesia Timur. Kelompok Mujahidin Indonesia Timur ini adalah sisa sisa kelompok Santoso yang sekarang masih tersisa beberapa orang lagi, dan operasi Tinombala, atau Satgas Tinombala sedang mengejar sekarang,” tambah Mahfud.
Atas peristiwa ini, pemerintah berharap, para pimpinan umat beragama khususnya di Sulawesi Tengah, tetap jalin silaturrahim agar masyarakt tidak terprovokasi isu-isu sara. Menko Mahfud juga mengaskan, sejatinya agama apapun hadir untuk membangun perdamaian.
“Diharapakan oleh Pemerintah kepada seluruh pimpinan umat beragama di Sulawesi Tengah terutama, terus melakukan silaturahim, untuk tidak terprovokasi oleh isu-isu sara. Karena sebenarnya yang terjadi bukan disebuah gereja, tetapi memang di sebuah tempat yang selama ini secara tidak rutin menjadi tempat pelayanan umat. Tetapi pelakunya memang Mujahidin Indonesia Timur. Demikian sikap pemerintah, nanti setiap perkembangannya akan diinformasikan,” pungkas Menko Polhukam Mahfud MD.
