Mendahului Tanpa Haluan, Hantam Tronton Dua Bus Terguling
JURNALJATENG.ID, MADIUN – Dua buah bus bertrayek antar propinsi mengalami kecelakaan di jalur utama Surabaya – Madiun, Desa Sugih Waras, Kecamatan Saradan, Madiun, Jawa Timur, Kamis (17/ 6). Insiden adu muka terjadi setelah dua bus yang meluncur beriringan, menghantam truk kontainer logistik yang melintas dari arah berlawanan.
Akibat kecelakaan itu, sebuah bus terbalik di sisi jalur. Sedangkan bus lainnya merangsek masuk ke semak semak. Sementara truk logistik tetap berdiri, namun melintang mengunci jalur lalu lintas.
Para penumpang kedua bus yang mengalami kecelakaan berhamburan, melalui celah jendela kendaraan. Sejumlah korban luka langsung ditolong warga sekitar tempat kejadian, dilarikan ke Puskesmas terdekat guna mendapat pengobatan.
Berbagai sumber di lokasi kejadian, kepada jurnalis menyebutkan, kecelakaan lalu lintas yang melibatkan tiga kendaraan besar itu berawal dari sikap ngawur pengemudi bus. Pengemudi bus mendahului beberapa kendaraan yang meluncur searah, tanpa memperhitungkan kondisi lalu lintas dari arah lawan.
Dijelaskan saksi mata, dua buah masing masing Bus Sugeng Rahayu bernopol W 7128 UP dikemudikan Zaenal meluncur dari arah Timur beriringan dengan Bus Sumber Selamat bernopol W 7198 UP yang dikemudikan Ali. Kedua buah bus tersebut dari Surabaya, hendak mengantar para penumpangnya ke tujuan akhir, Jogjakarta.
Di tempat kejadian yang tak jauh dari Kantor Kecamatan Saradan, pengemudi Bus Sugeng Rahayu yang berada di depan mendahului beberapa kendaraan yang meluncur searah. Saat bersamaan, dari arah berlawanan (Barat) melintas truk tronton logistik CV Duta Kasih bernopol L 8564 UV yang dikemudikan Jiman.
“Jaraknya sudah sangat dekat. Benturan tak terhindarkan. Bus yang depan masuk semak, sedangkan bus di belakangnya terguling,” tutur Gembol, saksi mata kepada jurnalis.
Setelah terjadi benturan dengan truk, pengemudi Bus Sugeng Rahayu banting setir ke kiri hingga terjerembab masuk semak. Sedangkan pengemudi Bus Sumber Selamat, memilih banting kemudi ke kanan hingga terguling di sisi jalan.
Sementara, kondisi truk logistik melintang persis mengunci jalur lalu lintas dua arah. Akibatnya, kondisi lalu lintas sempat mengalami kemacetan beberapa jam sebelum bangkai kendaraan dievakuasi petugas kepolisian setempat.
Beberapa saat kemudian, petugas kepolisian Polres Madiun langsung mengevakuasi tiga bangkai kendaraan yang terlibat kecelakaan. Menggunakan alat berat, bangkai kendaraan diamankan di Pos Polisi terdekat.
Untuk mengetahui penyebab pasti terjadinya kecelakaan, kini polisi setempat masih melakukan olah tempat kejadian. Polisi juga memintai keterangan ketiga pengemudi kendaraan yang terlibat kecelakaan, para penumpang bus serta sejumlah saksi mata yang mengetahui kejadiannya.
