Presiden Jokowi dan PM Suga Sepakati Kerja Sama
Kunjungan Perdana Menteri Suga ini menunjukkan pentingnya Indonesia dan kawasan Asia Tenggara bagi Jepang.
JURNALJATENG.ID, JAKARTA – Kunjungan Perdana Menteri (PM) Jepang Yoshihide Suga beserta Ibu Mariko Suga ke Indonesia pada Selasa, 20 Oktober 2020, merupakan bagian dari rangkaian kunjungan pertama PM Suga setelah dilantik sebagai perdana menteri pada 16 September 2020 lalu. Presiden Joko Widodo menyebut, kunjungan ini menunjukkan arti penting Indonesia dan kawasan Asia Tenggara.
“Ini juga merefleksikan komitmen bersama untuk terus memperkokoh kemitraan strategis antara Jepang dan Indonesia. Di tengah dunia yang diwarnai ketidakpastian, kunjungan ini menunjukkan bahwa kita memilih untuk bekerja sama dan saling mendukung satu sama lain,” kata Presiden Joko Widodo saat menyampaikan pernyataan pers bersama PM Suga di Istana Kepresidenan Bogor, Jawa Barat.
Dalam pertemuan bilateral, kedua pemimpin membahas sejumlah hal, antara lain pertama, kerja sama pengelolaan pandemi. Presiden Jokowi mengatakan bahwa Jepang merupakan mitra penting Indonesia dalam mitigasi pandemi, termasuk evakuasi 69 anak buah kapal (ABK) warga negara Indonesia (WNI) dari kapal Diamond Princess di Yokohama.
“Saya juga menyambut baik telah ditandatanganinya Memorandum Kerja Sama Kesehatan antara Indonesia dan Jepang pada tanggal 19 Oktober yang lalu,” ungkapnya.
Indonesia dan Jepang, kata Presiden Jokowi, juga memiliki kesamaan visi dalam memajukan multilateralisme, termasuk akses vaksin setara dengan harga terjangkau. Kepala Negara mengungkapkan bahwa Indonesia menghargai komitmen kontribusi Jepang bagi pembentukan ASEAN Covid-19 Response Fund.
“Saya juga mengajak Jepang memperkuat tata kelola kesehatan di kawasan untuk menghadapi pandemi di masa depan termasuk pembentukan ASEAN Centre for Public Health Emergency and Emerging Diseases,” imbuhnya.
Kedua, Presiden Jokowi dan PM Suga juga menyepakati pentingnya pembentukan Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA) bagi bisnis esensial. “Kita juga sepakat menugaskan Menteri Luar Negeri Jepang dan Indonesia untuk menegosiasikan detail dan menyelesaikannya dalam waktu satu bulan,” lanjutnya.
Ketiga, kedua pemimpin membahas upaya memperkuat kerja sama ekonomi. Menurut Presiden Jokowi, Jepang adalah salah satu negara mitra strategis Indonesia di bidang ekonomi.
Dalam kerja sama ekonomi tersebut, Presiden Jokowi menyambut baik relokasi dan perluasan investasi perusahaan-perusahaan Jepang ke Indonesia, seperti perusahaan Denso, Sagami, Panasonic, Mitsubishi Chemical, dan Toyota.
“Saya tadi juga meminta perhatian terhadap Jepang, adanya kendala izin impor untuk produk pertanian, produk kehutanan, dan produk perikanan dari Indonesia. Saya tadi juga mendorong Jepang untuk ikut berpartisipasi dalam Sovereign Wealth Fund Indonesia,” jelasnya.
Keempat, Presiden Jokowi dan PM Suga membahas kemitraan Indonesia-Jepang dalam memperkuat kerja sama multilateral. Terkait hal ini, Presiden Jokowi menekankan pentingnya semangat kerja sama untuk terus diperkuat, terutama di tengah rivalitas yang semakin menajam antara kekuatan besar dunia.
“Spirit kerja sama yang inklusif perlu juga dimajukan dalam kerja sama Indo-Pasifik, sebagaimana tercermin dalam ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific,” ujarnya.
“Saya menggarisbawahi harapan agar Laut Cina Selatan dapat terus menjadi Laut yang damai dan stabil. Hal tersebut dapat terjadi jika semua negara menghormati Hukum Internasional, terutama UNCLOS 1982,” tandasnya.
Sementara itu, PM Suga mengaku merasa sangat senang dapat mengunjungi Indonesia yang merupakan negara besar di ASEAN dalam lawatan pertama ke luar negeri sejak ia menjabat sebagai perdana menteri. Ia pun berkomitmen untuk terus bekerja sama dengan Indonesia.
“Jepang akan bekerja sama dan bergandengan tangan dengan Indonesia bagi perdamaian dan kesejahteraan kawasan ini, berlandaskan kemitraan strategis kedua negara kita, yang diperkokoh dengan kunjungan saya ke Indonesia kali ini,” kata PM Suga.
