SMSI Sumbang Jalan dan Sarana Sanitasi
JURNALJATENG.ID, SERANG – Selain menyelenggarakan Webinar dengan tema “Pemulihan Ekonomi Nasional dan Kebangkitan Ekonomi Kreatif”, Serikat Media Siber Indonesia (SMSI) juga membangun jalan dan sarana sanitasi untuk warga kota Serang, Provinsi Banten.
SMSI, salah satu konstituen Dewan Pers, organisasi pengusaha pers siber yang beranggotakan 1.224 perusahaan pers kini tengah mengembangkan keanggotaannya hingga tingkat kota dan kabupaten di seluruh Indonesia.
Dalam memperingati HPN, perusahaan media dibawah payung SMSI bersama-sama melakukan kegiatan yang bermanfaat untuk masyarakat.
Pembangunan jalan dan sarana sanitasi berupa bangunan untuk mandi, cuci, dan kakus (MCK) adalah salah satu bakti sosial untuk menandai peringatan Hari Pers Nasional (HPN) 2021 yang akan berlangsung 9 Februari 2021.
Menurut Ketua Umum SMSI Pusat Firdaus, sebelum puncak acara HPN 9 Februari 2021, pembangunan jalan dan MCK, sudah harus selesai.
“Ini sumbangan SMSI untuk warga, ini merupakan bantuan masyarakat pers untuk masyarakat dalam rangka memperingati HPN, dan kita pastikan peresmiannya dapat diwujudkan sebelum acara puncak HPN” kata Firdaus ketika secara seremonial mengawali pembangunan jalan dan MCK di Kampung Jaha, Kelurahan Pageragung, Kecamatan Walantaka, Kota Serang, Rabu (13/1/2021).
Pembangunan jalan tersebut sebenarnya sudah dimulai beberapa pekan lalu dengan pembebasan lahan, perataan tanah dan penebangan pohon. Jalan yang dibangun merupakan jalan baru dengan panjang 750 meter dan lebar 2,5 meter.
Sedang MCK yang sedang dibangun sementara ini berjumlah 16 unit.
Pelaksanaan pembangunan kedua proyek sosial itu ditangani SMSI, terutama SMSI Provinsi Banten yang paling dekat dengan lokasi proyek tersebut.
Untuk merealisasikan kegiatan tersebut, Ketua Penanggung Jawab pembangunan MCK Lesman Bangun yang juga Ketua SMSI Banten berserta Ketua Penanggung Jawab pembangunan jalan Andi Setiadi langsung gerak cepat dengan menggerakkan warga setempat untuk melakukan gotong royong bersama.
“Saat ini pengerjaan MCK sudah mencapai 65 persen, sementara tadi kita melakukan koordinasi ke penanggung jawab jalan, telah mencapai 75 persen. Kami pastikan sebelum puncak HPN ini MCK dan jalan sudah terealisasi,” ujar Lesman Bangun yang juga CEO Bangun Media Group.
Sementara itu Lurah Pageragung H. Hamimi menyambut baik gerak cepat bakti sosial SMSI.
“Saya menyambut baik dan berterima kasih kepada SMSI dan semua pihak yang sudah membantu pembuatan jalan dan MCK. Saya mengawakili warga mengucapkan banyak terimasih kepada semua pihak, terutama SMSI,” ujarnya Hamimi.
Selain lurah, dalam acara tersebut hadir pula perwakilan dari Koramil setempat, Kapolsek Walantaka AKP Sudibyo, dan Kasubdit Hubungan Masyarakat Polda Banten Kompol P Winarto.
Meniru TMMD
Di tempat yang sama, Ketua Panitia HPN Pusat SMSI Mohammad Nasir mengatakan bakti sosial tersebut akan menjadi sejarah untuk SMSI. “Ini baksos pertama kali yang dilakukan pers dalam HPN dengan membangun jalan untuk warga, dan kami pastikan, sebelum acara Puncak Peringatan HPN, peresmian jalan ini dapat diwujudkan” kata Nasir.
Nasir mengakui ide pembangunan jalan untuk warga tersebut meniru Tentara Nasional Indonesia yang membangun jalan desa di mana-mana sehingga terkenal dengan programnya, Tentara Manunggal Masuk Desa (TMMD). “Ini suatu yang baik,” katanya. Melalui pembangunan jalan dan MCK ini diharapkan perekonomian masyarakat semakin membaik, salah satu contoh warga mudah melintas kemana-mana dengan nyaman, dan harga tanah akan semakin meningkat karena akses jalan yang semakin bagus.
Dan, warga pun akan hidup sehat karena ada MCK.
