Longsor Tahun Baru Terjadi di Lereng Gunung Lawu
JURNALJATENG.ID, MAGETAN – Peristiwa tanah longsor kapasitas ringan menandai Tahun Baru di wilayah Magetan, Jawa Timur, Jumat sore (1/1). Meski ringan, namun material longsor berupa tanah lumpur dan bebatuan gunung, sempat menyumbat akses jalan antar desa.
Tim reaksi cepat BPBD setempat bersama personil TNI dan masyarakat, langsung turun tangan menanggulangi longsor dari tebing setinggi 10 meter di Desa Randu Gede, Kecamatan Plaosan, itu.
Meski gerimis mereka menyingkirkan material dengan alat sederhana, mengingat akses jalan dianggap vital.
“Kejadiannya sore ini, Bang. Alhamdulilah tidak mengakibatkan korban jiwa maupun luka. Kami juga tidak mencatat adanya kerusakan pada fasilitas umum,” teriak Ulung, Operator Pusdalops BPBD Magetan kepada jurnalis.
Dikatakan lebih lanjut, kerja bhakti itu tidak memakan waktu lama. Namu kehati hatian para pekerja ditingkatkan. Lantaran tebing di lokasi kejadian rawan longsor, yang dapat mengancam keselamatan pekerja saat beraktivitas.
Luruhnya gumpalan tebing itu disebabkan terjadinya hujan yang berlangsung di wilayah tersebut. Tidak deras, namun berlangsung cukup lama hingga menggerus sisi tanah tebing yang labil.
