Ngebut di Ring Road, Pemotor Tewas Hantam Truk
JURNALJATENG.ID, NGAWI – Seorang pemotor yang melesat ugal ugalan menghantam truk berlawanan arah di jalur Ring Road, Ngawi, Jawa Timur, Jumat (27/8). Benturan keras adu muka dua kendaraan itu mengakibatkan pengendara motor tewas seketika di tempat kejadian, sementara motor tunggangannya hancur terserakh.
Jasad pengendara motor yang diketahui bernama Ovi Wahyu Purnomo, warga Desa Keras Kulon, Kecamatan Gerih, Ngawi, itu terpental beberapa meter dari motornya. Sebelum dievakuasi petugas, jasad korban ditutup lembaran daun pisang dan menjadi tontonan warga dan pengguna jalan.
Sumber di lokasi kejadian kepada jurnalis menjelaskan, di jalan menikung itu sepeda motor tanpa Nopol yang dikemudikan korban tersebut melesat cepat dari arah Timur ke Barat. Saat berada di tempat kejadian, Desa Klitik, Kecamatan Geneng, Ngawi, tanpa disadari dari arah lawan melintas truk bernopol AG 8203 PD yang dikemudikan Sunardi, warga Desa Tugu, Kecamatan Mlarak, Ponorogo.
Lantaran jarak kedua kendaraan sudah sangat dekat, terlebih sepeda motor korban memakan jalur lawan, insiden tersebut tak terelakkan keduanya. “Sepeda motornya terlalu ke kanan, Mas. Apalagi keduanya sudah dekat sekali jadi ya benturan,” tutur saksi.
Sementara pengemudi truk, Sunardi, mengaku sebenarnya dia sudah berupaya untuk menghindari kecelakaan. Dia mencoba banting kemudi ke kiri, namun tidak berani berlebihan lantaran takut menghantam kendaraan di sisi kirinya.
“Memang saya sudah banting ke kiri agar tidak berbenturan dengan motor di depan saya. Tapi saya tidak berani terlalu ke kiri, sebab takut kalau justru melindas kendaraan di kiri saya,” aku Sunardi, pengemudi truk.
Untuk itu memastikan penyebab terjadinya kecelakaan ini, petugas Polisi Lalu Lintas setempat langsung melakukan olah tempat kejadian. Beberapa saksi mata yang mengetahui kejadiannya dimintai keterangan, termasuk pengemudi truk.
Sebagai barang bukti penyelidikan, polisi mengamankan kedua kendaraan yang terlibat kecelakaan di Pos Polisi terdekat. Sedangkan jasad korban langsung diangkut ke Kamar Jenazah RSUD dr. Soeroto, Ngawi.
