JURNALJATENG.ID, SEMARANG – Musyawarah Besar IV Perhimpunan Masyarakat Toraja Indonesia (PMTI) telah selesai dengan dengan lancar dan sesuai dengan perencanaan saat subuh dini hari, Minggu (3/10/2021) di Hotel Bidakara Pancoran Jakarta.

Mayjen TNI (purn.) Yulius Selvanus Lumbaa dan Dating Palembangan, SE.Ak, M.Si terpilih menjadi Ketua Umum dan Sekretaris Umum. Perpaduan militer-sipil ini dianggap cocok memimpin masyarakat Toraja Indonesia selama 5 tahun ke depan. Selain itu berbagai pokok pikiran dilahirkan dalam Mubes ini, termasuk deklarasi pemuda Toraja.

Dating Palembangan menyampaikan, segala hal baik yang sudah dilaksanakan pengurus PMTI, pihaknya akan lanjutkan, namun kesempatan ini pihaknya akan buat PMTI melejit lebih jauh dari pada yang sudah-sudah, tentunya dengan dukungan semua pihak.

Deklarasi Pemuda Toraja Indonesia dibacakan dalam sidang pleno ke-11 yang memutuskan membentuk organisasi pilar pemuda Toraja.

Alan Singkali membacakan naskah deklarasi didampingi para deklarator antara lain Ayub Manuel Pongrekun, Brikken Linde Bonting, Belo Tarran, Sarty Pongsitanan, dan Ignas Tandi Rano.

“Jejak sejarah pemuda Toraja berkaca pada peristiwa Topadatindo abad ke-17, heroisme Pong Tiku dkk, revolusi kemerdekaan di Toraja, dan berbagai fase historis pemuda Toraja. Momentum hari ini tidak bisa dilewatkan begitu saja demi kepentingan Sangtorayan,” tegas Alan.

Lebih lanjut, Pemuda Toraja menegaskan bahwa kerinduan akan kesatuan pemuda Toraja Indonesia di seluruh dunia terwujud dalam deklarasi ini. Surat Keputusan juga menyebutkan akan membentuk kepengurusan sementara yang akan memimpin penyelenggaraan Kongres yang diharapkan bisa berbarengan dengan Rakernas PMTI tahun 2022.

Ayub Pongrekun mengungkapkan, hal tersebut merupakan lompatan besar dalam dunia kepemudaan Toraja Indonesia.
