Presiden Joko Widodo mengingatkan jajarannya agar peningkatan laju penularan pandemi tidak terjadi selepas masa libur tersebut.
JURNALJATENG.ID, JAKARTA – Pemerintah berupaya untuk mengantisipasi penyebaran Covid-19 saat libur panjang akhir Oktober mendatang.
Presiden Joko Widodo mengingatkan jajarannya agar peningkatan laju penularan pandemi tidak terjadi selepas masa libur tersebut.
“Kita memiliki pengalaman kemarin libur panjang, pada satu setengah bulan yang lalu mungkin. Setelah itu terjadi kenaikan yang agak tinggi. Oleh sebab itu, ini perlu kita bicarakan agar kegiatan libur panjang dan cuti bersama ini jangan sampai berdampak pada kenaikan kasus Covid,” ujarnya dalam rapat terbatas yang digelar di Istana Merdeka, Jakarta, pada Senin, 19 Oktober 2020.
Saat ini, berdasarkan data rata-rata kasus aktif di Indonesia sudah lebih rendah dari rata-rata kasus aktif dunia.
“Ini bagus sekali. Kita 17,69 persen, dunia 22,54 persen,” kata Presiden.
Dalam data yang sama, rata-rata kematian akibat Covid-19 di Indonesia juga menurun dari sebelumnya berada pada angka 3,94 persen menjadi 3,45 persen.
“Kemudian rata-rata kesembuhan di Indonesia 78,84 persen. Ini juga lebih tinggi dari rata-rata kesembuhan dunia yang 74,67 persen,” tuturnya.
Oleh karena itu, Kepala Negara berharap dan berupaya agar angka-angka perbaikan tersebut dapat semakin meningkat dari waktu ke waktu agar selanjutnya tren penyebaran kasus Covid-19 di Indonesia semakin membaik.
