Panen Padi di Konawe Selatan, Mentan SYL: Jadilah Pejuang Pertanian
JURNALJATENG.ID, KONAWE SELATAN – Menteri Pertanian Syahrul Yasin Limpo (Mentan SYL), didampingi Plt Bupati Konawe Selatan Arsalim Arifin melakukan panen raya padi di Desa Cialam Jaya, Kecamatan Konda, Konawe Selatan, Kamis (22/10/2020).
Panen raya ini merupakan upaya Kementerian Pertanian (Kementan) untuk terus memacu daerah dan petani agar mempriotaskan peningkatan produksi dan ketersediaan pangan, di antaranya beras sebagai pangan pokok strategis terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional.
Mentan SYL mengatakan pertanian adalah sektor yang mampu menunjukkan kinerjanya di tengah kondisi Pandemi wabah Covid 19. Melansir data BPS peran sektor pertanian terhadap total PDB mencapai 14% dan menyediakan lapangan kerja bagi hampir separuh total penduduk. Peningkatan pertumbuhan PDB sektor pertanian pada kuartal II 2020 ini capaian 16,24% dibandingkan kuartal sebelumnya.
“Di saat sektor lainnya terpuruk, justru pertanian yang meningkat tajam. Ekspor pertanian kita bulan Januari sampai dengan Agustus 2020 mencapai Rp 258 triliun dan di bulan September ekspor pertanian naik 20,84 persen dibanding bulan sebelumnya. Begitu juga daya beli petani atau NTP periode Januari-September 2020 sebesar 101,66 atau naik 0,99 persen dan NTUP periode ini naik 0,90 persen,” katanya.
“Saya dengar, Konsel juga mensuplay daerah lain. Ini hebat. Terima kasih Pak Bupati, Pak Kadis, teman-teman penyuluh dan petani semua yang saya cintai. Saudara semua adalah pejuang, pahlawannya pertanian,” pinta SYL.
Lebih lanjut SYL menegaskan Kementan terus membangun konsolidasi bersama semua pihak untuk bahu membahu memajukan sektor pertanian dengan penerapan teknologi pertanian modern dan digital dan hadirnya lumbung pangan nasional yang terintegrasi secara korporasi. Penguatan pangan menjadi tugas utama negara sebab urusan makanan bagi 273 juta rakyat Indonesia adalah sesutu yang tidak bisa ditunda-tunda ketersediaannya.
“Kalau baju robek, mau beli yang baru bisa ditunda. Motor rusak, mau yang baru bisa ditahan-tahan. Tapi untuk urusan makan, tidak bisa ditunda,” tegasnya.
Plt Bupati Konawe Selatan Arsalim Arifin mengatakan Konawe Selatan merupakan salah satu daerah kabupaten produsen padi terbesar di provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Produksi padi tahun 2020 diperkirakan mencpai 79.746 ton GKG atau setara 45.750 ton Beras.
“Kami sangat mendukung program pengembangan pertanian melalui kawasan korporasi. Ini sangat membantu upaya pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Konawe Selatan untuk mendorong produktivitas pertanian bagi para petani terus dilakukan. Hal itu mendorong peningkatan produksi pertanian para petani dan kesejahteraan masyarkat itu sendiri,” ujarnya.
Di tempat yang sama, Direktur Jenderal Tanaman Pangan, Suwandi menambahkan program Kementan yang diterima Kabupaten Konawe Selatan sepanjang tahun 2020 untuk meningkatkan produksi pangan adalah Program Kawasan Tanaman Pangan Berbasis Korporasi (Propaktani) melalui pengembangan kawasan pertanian komoditi padi sawah di tiga kecamatan yakni Basela, Lalembu, Tinanggea. Pengembangan kawasan ini seluas 5.876 hektar yang bekerja sama dengan BUMD Konawe Selatan.
Bantuan lainnya, sambungnya, yaitu budidaya padi lahan kering seluas 2.500 hektar, bantuan benih jagung 6.230 hektar, dan perluasan areal tanaman baru 3.608 hektar.
“Sesuai arahan Komandan, Pak Menteri Pertanian Syahrul Yasin Limpo yang tadi disampaikan bahwa walaupun di masa pandemi, sektor pertanian harus terus berjalan,” sebutnya.
“Oleh karena itu Kami (Kementan,-red) pun mulai kenalkan konsep integrated farming menuju zero waste baik integrasi vertikal dimana keterpaduan dari hulu onfarn hingga hilir maupun integrasi horisontal yakni terpadu antar komoditas padi, sayur, ternak ayam, sapi dan lainya.
Konsep ini bisa dikelola dalam klaster kawasan berbasis korporasi,” sambung Suwandi.
