Kementan Dorong Pemulihan Pangan di Asean dan Global

JURNALJATENG.ID, JAKARTA – Menteri Pertanian (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo mendorong krangka pemulihan ekonomi jangka panjang untuk wilayah Asean dan Global secara menyeluruh, khususnya pada bidang pangan dan kehutanan.

Pemulihan perlu dilakukan mengingat sektor pangan adalah kebutuhan utama yang harus dijaga bersama, terutama dalam situasi pandemi Covid 19.

“Langkah kita dalam menyusun ASEAN Comprehensive Recovery Framework (ACRF) menjadi bukti keseriusan Indonesia dalam menciptakan ASEAN yang sehat dan ASEAN yang produktif,” ujar Sekretaris Jenderal Kementan, Momon Rusmono saat mewakili Mentan Syahrul Yasin Limpo dalam pertemuan dengan Menteri Kehutanan ASEAN (AMAF) ke-42, Kamis, 22 Oktober 2020.

Menurut Momon, selama ini Kementan sudah berperan aktif dalam pencapaian ketahanan pangan regional dan global, khususnya dalam kerangka kerja sama ASEAN. Bahkan, pemerintah terus mendorong peran penting sektor pertanian dalam menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan di pedesaan serta meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga petani.

“Peran petani dalam pemenuhan pangan bagi lebih dari 273 juta jiwa masyarakat Indonesia sangat vital. Oleh karen itu, Nilai Tukar Petani naik sebesar 101,66 jika dibandingkan dengan NTP Agustus 2020 yang hanya sebesar 100,65,” katanya.

Momon menambahkan, saat ini Kementan juga telah menerapkan kebijakan Empat Cara Bertindak dalam rangka menjaga ketersediaan pangan di era new normal. Salah satunya dengan meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dan cadangan pangan.

“Kemudian ada juga diversifikasi pangan lokal berbasis kearifan lokal serta memanfaatkan pekarangan dan lahan marjinal serta pengembangan pertanian modern,” tutupnya.
