BMKG, Bukan Aphelion Penyebab Udara Dingin Malam Hari
JURNALJATENG.ID, SEMARANG – Udara dingin saat malam tiba yang banyak diperbincangkan saat ini, masyarakat menghubungkan dengan fenomena Aphelion. Aphelion merupakan fenomena astronomis yang terjadi setahun sekali di kisaran bulan Juli.
Hal tersebut mendapat tanggapan dari Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG).
Deputi Bidang Klimatologi BMKG, Herizal mengatakan, pada bulan Juli wilayah Australia berada dalam periode musim dingin.
“Angin monsun Australia yang bertiup menuju wilayah Indonesia melewati perairan Samudera Indonesia yang memiliki suhu permukaan laut juga relatif lebih dingin, sehingga mengakibatkan suhu di beberapa wilayah di Indonesia terutama bagian selatan khatulistiwa (Pulau Jawa, Bali dan Nusa Tenggara) terasa juga lebih dingin,” kata Harizal dalam keterangan tertulis yang yang di kutib dari KBRN, Rabu (7/7/2021).
Fenomena suhu udara dingin sebetulnya merupakan fenomena alamiah yang umum terjadi di bulan-bulan puncak musim kemarau (Juli – September).
Ia mengatakan, adanya pola tekanan udara yang relatif tinggi di Australia menyebabkan pergerakan massa udara dari Australia menuju Indonesia atau dikenal dengan istilah Monsoon Dingin Australia.
Selain itu, berkurangnya awan dan hujan di Pulau jawa hingga Nusa Tenggara turut berpengaruh ke suhu yang dingin di malam hari. Sebab, tidak adanya uap air dan air menyebabkan energi radiasi yang dilepaskan oleh bumi pada malam hari tidak tersimpan di atmosfer.
Tak hanya itu, langit yang cenderung bersih awannya (clear sky) akan menyebabkan panas radiasi balik gelombang panjang ini langsung dilepas ke atmosfer luar.
Mengenai aphelion yang berdampak pada suhu udara saat malam, Herizal mengatakan, bahwa posisi matahari memang berada pada titik jarak terjauh dari bumi (aphelion). Tapi, kondisi tersebut tidak berpengaruh banyak pada fenomena atmosfer permukaan.
“Sementara itu, pada waktu yang sama, secara umum wilayah Indonesia berada pada periode musim kemarau. Hal ini menyebabkan seolah aphelion memiliki dampak yang ekstrem terhadap penurunan suhu di Indonesia,” terangnya.
Fenomena ini merupakan hal yang biasa terjadi tiap tahun, bahkan hal ini pula yang nanti dapat menyebabkan beberapa tempat seperti di Dieng dan dataran tinggi atau wilayah pegunungan lainnya, berpotensi terjadi embun es (embun upas) yang dikira salju oleh sebagian orang.
Deputi Bidang Meteorologi, Guswanto mengatakan, berdasarkan pengamatan BMKG di seluruh wilayah Indonesia, saat ini memang rata-rata suhu minimum dan maksimum di wilayah Indonesia bagian selatan ekuator seperti Pulau Jawa, Bali dan Nusa Tenggara umumnya lebih rendah dibandingkan wilayah lainnya yang berada di utara dan/atau di sekitar ekuator.
“Suhu udara minimum berkisar antara 14 – 21 derajat Celsius dengan suhu terendah tercatat di Maumere (Kabupaten Sikka/NTT) dan Tretes (Kabupaten Pasuruan/Jawa Timur),” Pungkas Guswanto.
