Dengan suara sesenggukan ia berucap maaf kepada orangtua yang telah membesarkannya.
Mendengar itu, Sumiyatun juga tak kuasa menahan tangisnya, dengan sangat erat ia memeluk Agesti Ayu. Dengan lembut tangannya mengelus-elus punggung anak pertamanya.
Pelukan disertai tangisan keharuan itu menandai babak baru perkara ibu yang dipolisikan anak kandungnya.
Agesti Ayu mengubah keputusannya.
Di tengah ujian kuliah yang dia hadapi, Agesti Ayu pamit terbang dari Jakarta menuju Kota Wali untuk bertemu ibu kandungnya. Ia bersedia mencabut laporannya.
“Ibu, saya tetap anak ibu. Mohon maaf selama ini Agesti ada salah,” kata Agesti dengan suara menahan tangis.
Setelah pelukan hangat itu, Agesti tidak lagi memandang ibunya sebagai pelaku penganiyaan, tetapi sebagai seorang ibu yang sayang kepada anak-anaknya.
“Bagaimanapun dia adalah orangtua yang sangat saya banggakan. Yang membesarkan saya. Yang melahirkan saya,” kata Agesti kepada awak media di depan ibunya.
Dia menyatakan mencabut laporan. Dan keputusan itu, kata dia, adalah inisiatif pribadi.
“Insya Allah tanpa disuruh siapapun saya Agesti Ayu Wulandari mencabut laporan ini,” ucapnya
“Bagaimanapun beliau tetap ibu saya. Yang membesarkan saya, yang memberikan contoh yang baik kepada anak-anaknya,” imbuhnya.
Sementara itu, berjarak sekira satu meter dari tempat duduk Agesti Ayu, Sumiyatun tak henti mengelap air mata yang mengalir di pipinya.
merasa lega setelah sekian lama tidak bertemu anaknya, ia kini bisa meluapkan rasa rindunya dan dengan hati yang lapang menyampaikan kekhilafannya.
“Maafkan mamah ya sayang ya, Mamah Banyak dosanya. Semoga Agesti memaafkan mamah,” kata Sumiyatun.
Selain itu menyampaikan terima kasih kepada berbagai pihak yang membantu perkaranya, sehingga bisa berakhir dengan damai.
“Di sini tidak ada salah maupun benar. Hanya karena miskomunikasi saja. Doakan anak sebagai orang sukses ya. Semoga ke depannya tambah ilmu,” harapnya.
