Beralih ke Siaran TV Digital, Begini Cara Pilih Set Top Box
JURNALJATENG.ID, JAKARTA – Digitalisasi siaran Televisi (TV), berdampak peralihan TV Analog ke TV digital tinggal menghitung hari dari rencana yang ditetapkan. Penghentian TV analog selanjutnya beralih ke siaran TV digital, terutama untuk daerah yang masuk ke Analog Switch Off (ASO) tahap satu.
Ada enam wilayah siaran di Indonesia, tepatnya pada hari Selasa, 17 Agustus 2021, akan dihentikan siaran analog dan beralih ke digital. Daerah yang pertama mendapat jadawal peralihan diantaranya, Aceh-1 (Kab. Aceh Besar, Kota Banda Aceh), Kepulauan Riau-1 (Kab. Bintan, Kab. Karimun, Kota Batam, Kota Tanjung Pinang), Banten-1 (Kab. Serang, Kota Cilegon, Kota Serang), Kalimantan Timur-1 (Kab. Kutai Kartanegara, Kota Samarinda, Kota Bontang), Kalimantan Utara-1 (Kab. Bulungan, Kota Tarakan), dan Kalimantan Utara-3 (Kab. Nunukan).
Saat ini masyarakat harus mulai melakukan pengecekan televisi masing-masing, apakah TV mereka sudah dapat menerima siaran digital atau tidak. Kalau sudah dapat maka otomatis siaran langsung diterima.
“Kalau tidak siap digital tinggal membeli Set Top Box (STB). STB itu semacam alat converter. Setelah STB dipasang di TV kita, langsung terima siaran digital,” demikian disampaikan Direktur Jenderal PPI Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kementerian Kominfo), Prof. Ahmad M. Ramli dalam sebuah dialog interaktif di salah satu stasiun TV.
STB sudah tersedia di pasaran, baik toko offline maupun online. Lalu bagaimana menentukan STB yang tepat? General Manager Business Development Polytron, Joegianto sekaligus mewakili Gabungan Pengusaha Elektronik Indonesia (Gabel) memberikan tipsnya.
“Bila belanja di pasar online, saat masuk, seleksi saja di situ, lihat ada sertifikasi dari Kominfo atau tidak,” katanya.
Sertifikasi Kominfo adalah bentuk jaminan bahwa STB pasti bisa digunakan. Semua fitur di siaran digital bisa berfungsi optimal.
Direktur Penyiaran, Direktorat Jenderal PPI, Kementerian Kominfo, Geryantika Kurnia dalam sosialisasi TV digital yang diselenggarakan secara daring menegaskan untuk memilih STB yang di STBnya ada tulisan DVB-T2.
“Di kemasannya itu atau cari saja yang ada tulisan Siap Digital. Tanda Siap Digital. Paling mudah. Kalau sekarang ada juga tambahan gambar MODI. Bila ada tulisan itu sudah pasti aman,” katanya.
Untuk tambahan informasi, berikut ini merek STB yang bersertifikat Kominfo. Nexmedia (NA1300/DVB-T2 MPEG4 HD), Polytron (PDV 600T2), Ichiko (8000HD), Akari (ADS-2230, ADS-168 dan ADS-210), Venus (Brio), Tanaka (T2), Matrix (Apple), Evercoss (STB1). STB tersebut dijamin ketersediaanya.
Joegianto menyatakan komitmen pengusaha barang elektronik mendukung ketersediaan STB dan TV digital untuk Indonesia.
“Gabel, kita sudah memberikan komitmen penuh. Suplai STB kita lakukan merata sesuai dengan demand. Bisa ke toko offline atau online,” demikian ungkapnya dalam Webinar Sosialisasi TV Digital Kalimantan Timur, (23/7/2021).
Informasi tentang STB yang sudah bersertifikat bisa didapatkan di aplikasi SIRANI (tersedia android dan iOS), atau di www.siarandigital.kominfo.go.id. Sertifikasi merupakan upaya perlindungan pemerintah terhadap masyarakat. Hal lain yang perlu diketahui masyarakat adalah bahwa menonton siaran TV digital itu gratis, karena bukan streaming internet, atau televisi berlangganan.
