Penolakan Warga Demak Terhadap Pemimpin Perempuan Masih Tinggi, dr Esti Tetap Optimis
SEMARANG, jurnaljateng.id, Isu sensitif gender, dianggap penolakan warga Demak terhadap pemimpin perempuan masih sangat kuat. Calon bupati perempuan perlu bekerja keras untuk meraih kemenangan.
Pasangan Calon Bupati Demak Estianah-Joko Susanto, yang di usung 5 partai yaitu PDIP, PAN, PKB, Golkar dan Demokrat, menurut pengamat politik Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Komunikasi (Stikom) Semarang, Drs Samsul Huda M.Si, di semarang, Senin (24/2/2020) yang dikutib dari Gatra.com mengatakan, penolakan masyarakat Demak yang dikenal dengan sebutan Kota Wali terhadap pemimpin atau bupati perempuan masih kuat.
“Sudah ada bukti empiris dua calon bupati perempuan pada konstestasi Pilkada Dermak sebelumnya kalah,” kata Samsul.
Dua calon perempuan yang di maksud Samsul adalah Endang Setyaningdyah yang maju pada Pilkada Demak 2006 dan Saidah Sakwan pada Pilkada 2011.
Endang saat itu sebagai incumben bupati Demak atau petahana, dan di usung PDIP, selain itu dia juga ketua Dewan Pimpinan Cabang (DPC) PDIP Demak dan ketua organisasi pekerja.
“Pada Pilkada 2006, Endang Setyaningdyah meski berpasangan dengan ulama Demak, Nurul Huda, ternyata tidak diterima warga sehingga kalah,” tambahnya.
Untuk calon perempuan Saidah Sakwan yang mengikuti Pilkada Demak Tahun 2011 diusung koalisi Partai Demokrat dan Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN).
Seperti diketahui dr Estiana adalah puteri seorang kontraktor Nur Halim yang berprofesi sebagai dokter, bukan pimpinan partai politik, perlu bekerja keras untuk menyingkirkan isu gender dan menarik simpati masyarakat.
Meski didampingi petahana Wakil Bupati Demak, Joko Susanto belum menjadi jaminan bisa menang pilkada karena penolakan terhadap pimpinan perempuan di Demak masih Tinggi ujar Samsul.
Dengan usungan lima parpol dr Eisti mengaku optimis bakal menang di Pilkada Demak 2020. Pihaknya juga berharap dukungan lima parpol itu berlanjut solid hingga nantinya dia menjabat sebagai pemimpin Demak.
“Alhamdulillah semakin banyaknya partai, ke depannya semakin solid. Hampir semua partai di Demak akan bekerja sama, PAN melengkapi sebagai partai pengusung,” kata Eisti kepada wartawan saat penyerahan SK dukungan DPP PAN di Reinz Coffe, Demak, Senin (29/6/2020).
