Warga bersama Linmas Gotong Royong Tanggul Bantaran Sungai
JURNALJATENG.ID, KENDAL – Kendal kota yang dekat dengan pesisir pantai di kelurahan Bandengan Menjadi langganan banjir dan rob,beradi di warga RT 4 RW 1 dibantu Satuan Linmas setempat, melaksanakan kegiatan kerja bakti dengan menutup Bantaran Sungai Kendal, yang saat hujan air meluap menggenangi rumah warga.
Menurut Ketua Linmas Kelurahan Bandengan, Kamdi, kegiatan ini sebagai bentuk kepedulian Linmas dan warga, atas terjadinya banjir akibat luapan air sungai yang sering menggenangi rumah warga.
“Saat hujan deras, pasti disusul banjir yang menggenangi rumah warga dan juga jalan kampung Bandengan,” ujar Kamdi, Minggu (22/11/2020).
Dikatakan, sedikitnya ada 20 anggota Linmas Kelurahan Bandengan dan warga RT 4 RW 01, yang dikerahkan dalam kegiatan gotong-royong ini.
“Ada tiga dam truk tanah hurugan yang sebagian dimasukkan ke dalam karung-karung untuk membendung bantaran sungai. Sebagian lagi kami urug di sekitar bagian rumah warga yang sering tergenang,” jelasnya.
Kamdi yang juga menjabat sebagai Ketua RT 4 RW 01 Keluragan Bandengan tersebut juga mengaku, semua material yang ada, adalah inisiatif dari warga setempat.
“Kami urunan atau patungan, terus sebagian biaya diambil dari kas RT dan kami belikan tanah urugan dan karungnya dapat bantuan dari provinsi. Alhamdulillah bisa beli tiga dam truk tanah ini,” imbuhnya.
Sementara itu Kasi Linmas pada Satpol PP Kabupaten Kendal, Moh Fatkhurahman mengatakan, tugas linmas tidak hanya membantu menjaga ketenteraman dan ketertiban masyarakat saja.
“Sesuai permendagri nomor 26 tahun 2020, Linmas selain membantu pengamanan obyek vital, pengamanan pemilu, pertahanan negara, sosial kemasyarakatan, juga tak kalah penting tugas membantu penanggulangan bencana,” jelasnya.
Untuk itu, pihaknya mengapresiasi apa yang dilakukan oleh Linmas Kelurahan Bandengan, yang bahu membahu bersama warga dalam rangka menanggulangi bencana banjir di wilayahnya.
“Kami berikan apresiasi dan terima kasih kepada Linmas Kelurahan Bandengan yang sudah menjalankan fungsinya membantu masyarakat yang terkena musibah bencana. Ini bisa menjadi contoh Desa maupun Kelurahan lain untuk tanggap bencana,” ungkap Moh Fatkhurahman.
Senada diungkapkan Kepala Kelurahan Bandengan, Sutarjo. Dirinya juga mengapresiasi kegiatan yang dilakukan Linmas bersama warga, dalam rangka mengantisipasi dan menanggulangi genangan air luapan sungai dan rob di wilayah Bandengan.
“Terima kasih atas antusias warga RT 4 RW 01 bersama Linmas, yang sengkuyung untuk menanggul bantaran sungai. Harapan kami dengan kegiatan ini bisa meminimalisir banjir yang kerap melanda pemukiman warga di wilayah Kelurahan Bandengan,” harapnya.
Sementara itu salah satu warga yang ikut dalam kegiatan kerja bakti, Mujiono (45) mengaku, berterima kasih kepada semua pihak khususnya Linmas dengan adanya kegiatan ini, yang berusaha menanggulangi banjir yang kerap melanda daerahnya.
Dikatakan, sedikitnya ada 150 karung sak yang dibuat untuk menanggul bantaran sungai yang kerap menyebabkan banjir.
“Harapan kami dengan adanya gerakan tanggul sungai ini, khususnya rumah warga RT 4 RW 1 dan jalan di Bandengan aman dari banjir yang sangat mengganggu aktivitas warga,” pungkasnya.
Seperti diberitakan, hujan deras dan rob sering menggenangi wilayah Kelurahan Bandengan dan sekitarnya. Bahkan genangan air memasuki rumah warga 20-40 cm.
Hal ini terjadi karena bantaran sungai dengan pemukiman warga lebih rendah, sehingga saat air sungai meluap, air mengalir ke pemukiman warga.
