Gerakan Seniman Masuk Sekolah Perkuat Pendidikan Karakter
JAKARTA, jurnaljateng.id, Gerakan Seniman Masuk Sekolah (GSMS) Tahun 2020, melalui Direktorat Jenderal Kebudayaan kembali dilaksanakan oleh Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud). Hal tersebut akan menjadi salah satu program sebagai upaya untuk menguatkan pendidikan karakter serta menciptakan ekosistem sekolah yang berbudaya.
Program GSMS, sesuai apa yang disampaikan Direktur Jenderal Kebudayaan Hilmar Farid, bukan semata-mata dimaksudkan khusus untuk melatih siswa menjadi seniman, tetapi sebagai metode dalam penyelenggaraan sebuah pendidikan karakter melalui ekspresi diri peserta didik dengan cara-cara yang artistik.
“Gagasan dasarnya untuk mempertemukan seniman dengan siswa agar mendapatkan pengalaman tangan pertama tentang bagaimana berkreasi, merumuskan ide, sampai eksekusi,” disampaikan Hilmar Farid dalam taklimat media virtual di Jakarta, Rabu (02/09/20).
Restu Gunawan, Direktur Pengembangan dan Pemanfaatan Kebudayaan menambahkan bahwa program tersebut yang telah dilaksanakan sejak tahun 2017 merupakan salah satu program prioritas Kemendikbud, dimana program tersebut lahir dari bentuk perhatian Ditje Kebudayaan. Program Gerakan Seniman Masuk Sekolah sejatinya dimaksudkan untuk membantu dan memfasilitasi keterbatasan sekolah dalam menghadirkan guru seni dan budaya yang telah memiliki kompetensi dalam bidang seni budaya di satuan pendidikan.
Target sasaran GSMS tahun 2020 mengalami penurunan dari tahun sebelumnya akunya, hal itu dikarenakan realokasi dan refocusing anggaran digunakan untuk penanganan pandemi Covid-19. Oleh sebab itu perlu gotong royong antara pemerintah pusat dan pemerintah daerah dengan berbagi beban pembiayaan sehingga program GSMS tetap dapat berjalan di 16 lokasi.
“Anggaran itu nantinya berbagi antara APBD dan APBN untuk membiayai honorarium para seniman dan pendampingnya. Untuk program tahun ini ada 210 seniman yang terlibat untuk sekitar 4.200-an siswa,” jelasnya
Lebih lanjut, Restu Gunawan menyampaikan bahwa dalam kondisi pandemi, maka program GSMS akan dilaksanakan dengan perpaduan luring dan daring.
Penyelenggaraan lokakarya untuk seniman dilakukan secara TOT (Training of Trainee) oleh Direktorat Pengembangan dan Pemanfaatan Kebudayaan selama bulan September. Lokakarya ini diharapkan dapat membantu para seniman siap mengajarkan seni budaya kepada para siswa.
Pada akhir proses pembelajaran, Dinas pendidikan Provinsi/Kabupaten/Kota dapat menyelenggarakan pertunjukan/pameran hasil pembelajaran para siswa dengan seniman dengan tetap mengikuti protokol kesehatan pengendalian Covid-19 dan membuat dokumentasi berupa video.
Program GSMS menjadi salah satu cara untuk memfasilitasi para seniman lokal untuk memberikan pembelajaran seni budaya melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di sekolah.
