Massa Membakar Fasilitas Umum, Kota Elelim Makin Mencekam
JURNALJATENG.ID, WAMENA – Hasil putusan Makamah Konstitusi (MK) terkait sengketa Pilkada Yalimo, membuat beberapa msayarakat yang tidak puas kembali melakukan pembakaran sarana dan fasilitas umum, serta kantor pemerintahan di Kota Elelim, Kabupaten Yalimo Papua pada Rabu (30/6/2021).
Dikutib dari KBRN, Salah satu warga kota Elelim, Willy ketika dihubungi Radio Repubil Indonesia (RRI), Rabu pagi mengatakan, saat ini situasi di Kota Elelim masih mencekam, dimana massa kembali melakukan pembakaran fasilitas umum dan kantor pemerintahan di kota tersebut.
“Massa mulai melakukan pembakaran lagi, asap terlihat dimana-mana, kantor-kantor semua sudah dibakar massa. Terus Tokoh Adat dengan Kepala Desa, mereka sementara di Polres selesaikan masalah,”ungkap Willi melalui telepon selulernya ketika dihubungi RRI di Wamena, Rabu (30/6/2021).
Kata dia, masyarakat khususnya warga Non-OAP saat ini mengungsi ke Koramil dan Polres Yalimo, dengan peralatan seadanya serta persediaan bahan makanan yang terbatas.
“Sebagian ada yang di Koramil, ada juga yang di Polres, untuk sementara kami di sini (Elelim) saja karena jalan ke Wamena dipalang,”katanya.
Willy menambahkan, aparat keamanan di daerah itu tidak dapat berbuat banyak sebab jumlahnya yang terbatas dan tidak sebanding dengan massa yang melakukan pembakaran.
“Sementara pasukan jaga kami di sekitar pengungsian, kalau personil tambahan belum tiba di Elelim,”tambahnya.
