Kapolri Minta Pers Bantu Tangkal Hoak di Hari Pers Nasional 2021
JURNALJATENG.ID, JAKARTA – Kapolri Jenderal Polisi Listyo Sigit Prabowo meminta kepada Pers yang menjadi pilar keempat demokrasi untuk terus mencerahkan masyarakat Indonesia dalam memberikan informasi.
Hal tersebut disampaikan Listyo Sigit saat mengucapkan selamat Hari Pers Nasional (HPN) tahun 2021 yang diperingati pada hari Selasa (9/2/2021).
“Saya Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo selaku Kepala Kepolisian Republik Indonesia (Kapolri) mengucapkan selamat Hari Pers Nasional tahun 2021. Semoga Pers senantiasa menjadi garda terdepan dalam mencerahkan masyarakat sebagai pilar keempat Demokrasi,” kata Sigit dalam tayangan video ucapan Hari Pers Nasional.
Sigit juga berharap kepada Pers atau insan media untuk ikut membantu menangkal serta memerangi penyebaran hoaks yang dapat memcah belah bangsa dan negara.
“Serta membantu Polri dalam menangkal timbulnya hoaks dan ujaran kebencian yang mengancam kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara,” ujar mantan Kabareskrim Polri itu.
Dengan munculnya semangat yang sama untuk menjaga keutuhan NKRI itu, Sigit menekankan, hal itu dapat semakin memperkuat kebhinekaan yang ada di Indonesia.
“Sehingga turut membangkitkan semangat kebhinekaan yang mendorong produktivitas dan optimistisme bangsa,” ucap Sigit.
Hari Pers Nasional diperingati tanggal 9 Februari tiap tahunnya. Pada tahun ini tema yang diangkat “Bangkit Dari Pandemi, Pers Sebagai Akselerator Perubahan dan Pemulihan Ekonomi”.
Hari Pers Nasional digelar secara virtual lantaran dilakukan di tengah Pandemi Covid-19 atau virus corona.
Meski digelar secara virtual, semangat Hari Pers Nasional pun tak ikut luntur. Pasalnya, kegiatan tetap dilakukan. Tak hanya itu, sejumlah pejabat negara ikut terlibat, salah satunya adalah Presiden Indonesia Joko Widodo beserta jajarannya.
