JURNALJATENG.ID, AMBON – Kongres GAMKI (Gerakan Muda Kristen Indonesia) ke XII yang belangsung selama 5  hari, mulai 13 hingga 18 Mei 2023 untuk pergantian kepengurusan GAMKI periode 2023-2026 belangsung di gedung gereja Marantha Ambon (13-18/5/2023)

Sahat Martin Philip Sinurat.ST.,M.T, sebagai Sekum GAMKI periode 2018-2022 sebelumnya adalah Ketua Umum Pengurus Pusat Gerakan Mahasiswa Kristen Indonesia (GMKI) masa bakti 2016-2018.

Sahat, Pria kelahiran Pekanbaru, 1 Maret 1989, merupakan alumni S1 dan S2 dari ITB.
Pemilik nama lengkap Sahat Martin Philip Sinurat.ST.,M.T

Sahat terpilih menjadi Ketua Umum Gerakan Mahasiswa Kristen Indonesia (GMKI) yang berlangsung sejak 23-30 Agustus 2016 di Gedung Seminari HKBP Sipoholon, Tarutung, Sumatera Utara.

Peserta memilih Sahat Martin Philip Sinurat.S.T.,M.T dari GMKI Bandung, sebagai Ketua Umum GMKI Masa Bakti 2016-2018.

Selain itu, bertahun-tahun Sahat berjuang untuk melawan radikalisme, intoleransi dan diskriminasi di Indonesia. Ia tetap memperjuangkan dan membela hak setiap warga negara untuk beribadah dan memeluk agama. Dia lakukan agar ada generasi muda yang setia berjuang dan berani bersuara, serta dapat menjalin hubungan yang baik dengan saudara-saudari lintas agama.

Bagi anggota jemaat Gereja di Indonesia ini, menyebut bahwa GAMKI sebagai OKP (Organisasi Kepemudaan) Kristen terbesar di Indonesia dengan ratusan DPC dan puluhan DPD. Memiliki tugas untuk menjaga keutuhan bangsa serta memperjuangkan keadilan dan kesejahteraan bagi semua umat.

Selain di GAMKI, Sahat juga Ketua Bidang Kepemudaan dan Pengembangan Milenial DPP Komite Nasional Pemuda Indonesia (KNPI).

Pendiri Rumah Milenial Indonesia ini menyampaikan bahwa di tengah perkembangan zaman yang sangat cepat, GAMKI harus juga berjalan cepat, bahkan melakukan lompatan-lompatan besar agar tidak tertinggal oleh pesatnya perkembangan zaman.

Sementara Sahat Martin Philip Sinurat.ST.,M.T, menyatakan bahwa kebudayaan menjadi wadah pemersatu perbedaan yang ada. Karena itu menurutnya bagaimana kebudayaan yang beragam itu dipelihara agar menjadi keindahan dan kemajuan peradaban bangsa Indonesia.

Masih dalam kesempatan yang sama, Ketua DPRD Badung Putu Parwata mengapresiasi GAMKI yang mau bangkit dan menjaga NKRI.

“Yang penting jangan sampai hangat-hangat tahi ayam. Jadi generasi muda ini harus berperan mengawal bangsa ini. Kalau ada yang berani merongrong, maka GAMKI harus berani tampil di depan membela,” ujar Parwata.

Ia juga mengingatkan keberadaan organisasi jangan untuk dilayani tapi harus melayani.

“Jaga keutuhan bangsa dan budaya yang ada. Pemerintah selalu hadir dengan program-program yang konkrit,” lanjutnya.

Sedangkan Satria Cok Ratmadi, sebagai tokoh Puri Satria berpesan, tantangan dan ancaman makin besar ke depannya. Karena itu diharapkan generasi muda terus meningkatkan kualitas diri.
