PSI dan Golkar Harap Anak Muda Ambil Bagian Politik

Generasi muda di Jawa Tengah (usia 17-39 tahun) dinilai memiliki perhatian yang cukup tinggi terhadap kontestasi politik. Mereka juga terlihat menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi untuk berpartisipasi dalam Pemilu 2024 mendatang.
Hasil survei AKSARA Research and Consulting melaporkan tingkat partisipasi kaum muda dalam Pemilu di Jawa Tengah mencapai 90,3 persen.
Menanggapi hal itu, Anggota DPRD Jawa Tengah Fraksi Golkar, Padmasari Mestikajati mengatakan, memang sudah saatnya anak muda terlibat dan mengambil bagian dalam pembangunan melalui jalur politik praktis.
Meski masih pasif, lanjut dia, sekarang sudah banyak generasi muda yang memiliki kepedulian terhadap politik.
“Sekarang sudah semakin banyak yang aware, walaupun pasif sebagai pemilih dan kontrol melalui media. Semoga kedepan semakin banyak juga yang tergerak ambil bagian,” ujar dia di Hero Coffe Indonesia, Kota Lama, Semarang Jawa Tengah, Selasa (7/2/2023).
Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Ketua DPW PSI Jawa Tengah, Yuli Zuardi Rais menyambut baik antusiasme generasi muda di Jawa Tengah terhadap politik dan Pemilu 2024.
PSI berkomitmen mewadahi antusiasme itu dan menjadikan generasi muda sebagai tonggak utama perubahan bangsa.
Menurutnya, PSI siap menampung partisipasi politik anak muda di Jawa Tengah dan berkomitmen untuk mempersiapkan mereka menjadi generasi pemegang estafet pembangunan bangsa.
“Sejak berdiri PSI memang digawangi oleh anak muda, kami pastikan bahwa anak muda memiliki kesempatan untuk terlibat dalam proses pengambilan keputusan dan memiliki suara yang sama, bahkan menjadi pimpinan-pimpinan partai” ucapnya.
Hanya saja, meski memiliki tingkat partisipasi elektoral yang cukup tinggi tetapi mereka belum berminat untuk terlibat dalam partai politik. Generasi muda lebih memilih berkontribusi di luar aktivitas politik praktis.
Direktur Eksekutif AKSARA Research and Consulting, Hendri Kurniawan menuturkan, ada 89,6 persen responden yang tidak berminat menjadi anggota parpol.
“Ini tentu saja menjadi tugas tersendiri bagi parpol untuk menggaet anak muda agar tertarik masuk ke dalam partai politik,” tukasnya.
Survei AKSARA dilakukan pada 15-25 Januari 2023 terhadap 800 orang responden di Provinsi Jawa Tengah berusia 17-39 tahun. Mereka masuk kategori milenial (lahir tahun 1981-1996) dan generasi Z (lahir tahun 1997-2012).
Penarikan sampel dilakukan secara acak bertingkat (multistage random sampling) dengan margin of error kurang lebih 3,46 persen.
