Bara Putung Rokok Lenyapkan Bengkel Jok Mobil
JURNALJATENG.ID, MADIUN – Bagi perokok, membuang putung yang masih membara hendaknya hati hati. Bila tidak, akan mengalami peristiwa kebakaran seperti yang terjadi di Madiun, Jawa Timur, Jumat malam (9/7).
Sebuah bengkel reparasi jok mobil yang beroperasi di Ring Road Timur, Kelurahan Patihan, Kecamatan Manguharjo, dalam sekejap lenyap diganyang api. Kobaran api bak disiram minyak bakar, langsung membesar dan berkibar liar lantaran seisi bengkel merupakan bahan mudah terbakar.
Bangunan bengkel dari bahan kayu dengan atap seng itu berisi bahan baku pembuatan jok mobil seperti karet busa, lem, kalep, kanvas, kain serta bahan mudah terbakar lainnya. Barang barang tersebut merupakan “sahabat” api, sehingga tak heran dalam waktu singkat semuanya lenyap disikat habis jago merah.
“Pokoknya tiba tiba kobaran api dari dalam bengkel itu sudah besar sekali, Mas. Warga berusaha memadamkan, tapi gak berhasil,” jelas sumber di lokasi kejadian, kepada jurnalis.
Dua unit Damkar dan satu unit mobil tangki BPBD Kota Madiun yang segera merapat ke lokasi kejadian, langsung melakukan pembasahan. Dalam waktu satu jam api berhasil dikuasai petugas, dan tidak sampai merambat ke kanan kirinya.
“Syukur dalam peristiwa kebakaran ini tidak sampai menimbulkan korban jiwa, Mas. Di dalam bengkel kosong, pemiliknya pulang ke rumahnya,” tutur Karno, petugas BPBD Kota Madiun, kepada jurnalis.
Sumber di tempat kejadian menyebut, bengkel tersebut milik Didik Sujoko, warga Jalan Mendut No. 28, Kelurahan Patihan, Kecamatan Manguharjo. Pemilik bersama karyawannya beraktivitas membuat jok mobil mulai pagi hingga sore, selebihnya bengkel tutup dan ditinggal pulang.
Tidak ada laporan mengenai timbulnya korban jiwa atau luka dalam kebakaran itu, namun kerugian materiil diperkirakan mencapai ratusan juta.
Aparat kepolisian setempat hingga kini masih melakukan penyelidikan, guna mengetahui penyebab pasti terjadinya kebakaran. Meski demikian, sementara petugas menyimpulkan ter jadinya insiden itu diduga akibat putung rokok masih membara yang dibuang sembarangan.
