Kapolres Mimika Pastikan Anggota KKB Jerman Elas tewas
JURNALJATENG.ID, PAPUA – Kepala Kepolisian Resor Mimika, Papua, AKBP IGG Era Adhinata memastikan satu anggota Kelompok Kriminal Bersenjata (KKB) Kali Kopi pimpinan Joni Botak bernama Jerman Ellas, Rabu (17/3/2021)
Jerman Ellas, merupakan korban tewas saat terjadi kontak tembak dengan aparat keamanan di Mile 53, Distrik Tembagapura, pada 28 Februari 2021.
“Berdasarkan informasi yang kami terima dan juga didukung dengan hasil penyelidikan yang kami lakukan, ada korban lain dari KKB yang meninggal dunia, yaitu saudara Jerman Ellas. Ini dikuatkan dengan postingan media dari kelompok mereka,” kata AKBP Era Adhinata saat menggelar konferensi pers di Timika, Rabu 17 Maret 2021.
Era menambahkan, peristiwa tersebut dikuatkan dengan postingan media dari kelompok Kali Kopi pimpinan Joni Botak.
Dalam kejadian itu, korban tewas lainnya dari KKB, yaitu Fery Ellas yang diketahui merupakan Danton TPN OPM Kodap III Kalikopi Tembagapura pimpinan Joni Botak.
Selain Jerman Ellas, dua anggota KKB Kali Kopi yang juga tertembak saat kejadian itu, yaitu atas nama Antonius Aim dan Jasko Komagal juga dilaporkan terluka parah dan kini dalam kondisi kritis.
Untuk di ketahui, Jerman Ellas terlibat kasus penyerangan pusat perkantoran PT Freeport Indonesia di Kuala Kencana pada 30 Maret 2020 yang dipimpin Joni Botak, Guspi Waker, dan Antonius Aim. Penyerangan tersebut menewaskan seorang pekerja berkewarganegaraan Selandia Baru, Graeme Thomas Wall.
Kapolres Mimika memastikan dua anggota KKB yang dilaporkan terluka serius dan kini dalam kondisi sekarat itu tidak berani ke Timika untuk menjalani pengobatan di fasilitas kesehatan yang ada.
“Dengan kondisi medan geogras yang begitu berat, apalagi mereka menjadi target kami karena masuk dalam DPO (Daftar Pencarian Orang) maka tidak memungkinkan mereka untuk dibawa berobat ke rumah sakit di Timika.” kata AKBP Era Adhinata.
Polisi masih mendalami terus kondisi mereka seperti apa sekarang hingga saat ini. Dia juga mengatakan pihaknya menangkap anggota KKB Joni Botak bernama Ter Jangkup bersama tiga rekannya saat hendak mengantar bahan makanan untuk kelompok bersenjata itu di ruas Jalan Trans Papua rute Timika-Nabire.
