Pohon Tumbang Mengunci Ring Road Madiun
JURNALJATENG.ID, MADIUN – Sebuah pohon besar perindang jalan yang tumbuh disisi jalur ring road wilayah Madiun, Jawa Timur, tiba tiba ambruk, Selasa (8/ 12). Batang pohon tekik ukuran cukup besar itu melintang ruas jalan, hingga mengunci jalur pengguna jalan.
Posisi lintangan pohon menutup total ruas jalur masuk Kota Madiun. Sedangkan jalur keluar masih tersisa dan memungkinkan dilintasi, meski harus merambat.
Saat kejadian di wilayah tersebut tidak berlangsung hujan, juga tidak ada angin kencang.
“Cuma, pohon itu tumbuh dekat saluran air, Mas. Kemungkinan bagian akar tergerus air hujan sebelumnya, sehingga rapuh,” tutur Abdul Azis, personil BPBD Madiun, kepada jurnalis.
Petugas penanggulangan bencana, BPBD, relawan dan aparat terkait lain langsung turun tangan pembersihan. Batang serta dahan dan ranting pohon disingkirkan petugas menggunakan gergaji besi, serta alat pertukangan lainnya.
Selama dilakukan pembersihan, petugas menerapkan sistem buka tutup, bagi lalu lintas baik masuk maupun keluar Madiun.
Beruntung dalam peristiwa itu tidak menimbulkan korban jiwa. Pasalnya, saat ambruknya pohon tersebut jalur sekitar lokasi tidak terdapat pengguna jalan sedang melintas.
“Tapi setiap kita tetap harus waspada. Mengingat bencana bisa terjadi setiap saat, meski tidak didahului hujan ataupun angin kencang,” pungkas Azis.
